Between March 13-17, 2023, we hosted at our University international students and lecturers participating in the international course "IP2 - Digital Boost Camp" conducted within the framework of the "Academy of Creative Education" project.
Students from the Netherlands, Hungary, Spain and Georgia, along with our students, were welcomed on our campus by Prof. Sławomir Smyczek, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, Prof. Justyna Matysiewicz, Dean of the School of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, and Edyta Lachowicz-Santos, Director of Internationalization.
Their stay at our University was preceded by a week-long on-line course, when they attended classes conducted by Polish and international lecturers, during which they had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with teaching materials on consumer protection, creative management problem solving and business presentation methods, provided on a dedicated platform.
This was the second of three courses scheduled in the project, for the implementation of which our University received funding from NAWA's "SPINAKER - Intensive International Training Programs" program.
During their stay, students participated in practical workshops designed to improve business presentation skills in a multicultural environment, and were able to learn more about Polish and Silesian culture through visits to the Silesian Museum, the Tyskie Brewery and the Science Park and Planetarium in Chorzów.
An interesting experience for our guests was also the organization and participation in the Integration Buffet. During the event, students shared some of the delicacies brought from their home countries. They were accompanied by the Song and Dance Ensemble "Silesianie", who promoted Polish and Silesian culture through their music and dance performance.
The course was not only an excellent opportunity to broaden business and cultural knowledge, but also a chance to make new friends in a fun multicultural environment.
