In the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, the interdisciplinary Regional Living Lab "Campus Living Lab - Co-Play&Create" will be offered as part of the BAUHAUS4EU European University Alliance.
The Regional Living Lab offers an opportunity to explore the university campus from a new perspective and work together on a real challenge related to its use and development. The course will have a practical and project-based character, with students investigating the campus, its spatial organisation, patterns of use and the needs of its users.
Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams, combining knowledge and perspectives from spatial management, economics, and digital technologies. The activities will include field research, exploratory walks, participatory mapping and consultation, spatial data analysis and the use of GIS tools.
The work will result in a proposal addressing an identified challenge related to the university campus. Students will have the opportunity to present and discuss their solutions with members of the academic community and other interested stakeholders.
The Regional Living Lab is not only a course, but also an opportunity to gain practical experience in addressing a real spatial challenge, develop teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills, and learn methods used in spatial planning and design.
Students from all fields and levels of study are invited to participate. In particular, the course is addressed to students interested in urban development, public space, design, sustainable development, data analysis and cooperation with local communities.
The course will combine workshops, project-based activities and fieldwork.
