From April 7 to 11, dr Kajetan Suchecki from the Department of Market and Consumption paid a teaching visit to the partner institution Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) in Nigeria.
Four lectures delivered to students of entrepreneurship, economics, administration, and MBA programs were met with great enthusiasm and attended by several hundred participants. The visit also provided an opportunity for discussions with department heads, faculty deans, and the university's Vice-Chancellor – Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman – regarding cooperation between UEKat and NSUK. The Nigerian university highly values its partnership with UEKat and expressed hope for its continued fruitful development.
One of the unexpected highlights of dr Suchecki’s visit was a meeting with His Royal Highness, the Emir of Keffi, who traditionally serves as the ceremonial Chancellor of the University. The Emir expressed his gratitude for opening a path of cooperation between Poland and Nigeria and wished further success in academic and teaching endeavors. The visit also included a stop at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Abuja, where, during a meeting with the Polish Consul, the importance of collaboration between partner universities was emphasized.
Special thanks for the excellent preparation and safe organization of Dr. Kajetan Suchecki’s stay in Nigeria go to Prof. K’tso Nghargbu and the entire team of the NSUK Office of Linkages and International Cooperations.
