From February 12 to 18, 2024, Katowice, the European City of Science 2024, will celebrate Love Week. The subject of this week's inquiries will be the mechanisms, contexts, nature, technologies and representations of emotions customarily associated with relationships between people, yet not always seen as universal to the physical world. During lectures, talks, expert speeches, exhibitions and happenings dealing with love, it will be possible to see love from the perspective of various disciplines and practices.
We will also look at the design of love in utilitarian objects and its destructive power in urban space. We will delve into the problem of dating portals and codes that predict the success of a love relationship. And all this during popular science lectures from various disciplines, art and research experiments and demonstrations, meetings with specialists (including a sexologist) and other events.
During Love Week, we will also have the opportunity to listen to Jolanta Gałuszka, Ph.D., who will give a lecture titled "Tax and financial life of spouses and partners before, during and after divorce - what changes?", which will be held on February 14, at 5 p.m. in room No. 2/19 at CNTI.
Love Week’s schedule is available on the City of Science website and Facebook.
