We present the ninth edition of the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance newsletter, featuring the most important news from the life of the universities associated within the Alliance, a summary of completed activities, and announcements of upcoming initiatives.
The ninth edition of the newsletter includes information on:
- the 2nd BAUHAUS4EU Forum, held at the University of Economics in Katowice, which brought together representatives of all partner universities, regional partners, and students, creating a space for strengthening cooperation, strategic reflection, and planning further joint activities;
- BAUHAUS4EU’s participation in the New European Bauhaus Festival 2026 in Brussels, where representatives of the Alliance contributed to a dialogue on innovation, creativity, sustainability, and cooperation, including through the Regional Living Labs workshop;
- the selection of 13 Regional Living Labs and 14 Student-Led Courses, which will be launched in the next academic year and will enable students to take part in innovative forms of education and work on solutions addressing local and regional challenges;
- new courses available in the BAUHAUS4EU catalogue, including European BAUHAUS Courses – joint, interdisciplinary, challenge-based courses developed by academic staff from at least two partner universities;
- the BAUHAUS4EU Podcast episode entitled “Progress in the Alliance and What Comes Next”, recorded at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, in which Dr Tonia Schmitz, Secretary General of the Alliance, summarises the progress made so far, the challenges ahead, and the next directions for the development of BAUHAUS4EU;
- key deliverables and milestones achieved in June, concerning, among others, the Alliance’s educational offer, green and inclusive campuses, regional innovation hubs, support for entrepreneurship, mobility, and quality assurance of joint courses and programmes;
- the mission of BAUHAUS4EU as a European University for resilient, sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful regions, bringing together 10 universities and 67 partners from across Europe;
- upcoming events, including EAIE Glasgow 2026 and the UACEG International Staff Week “Back2Basics – Old Knowledge. New Perspective”.
