We are pleased to announce that the University of Economics in Katowice has received funding under the "NAWA-EURAXESS Network - 2024 Call" programme coordinated by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
The project titled "Establishment of the Silesian EURAXESS Network Supporting Career Development and Mobility of Researchers to Strengthen the International Competitiveness of Polish Higher Education and Research Institutions" was developed by a consortium of three Silesian universities. The initiative was launched and is led by the Silesian University of Technology, with the University of Silesia in Katowice and our University as partners.
The three-year project aims to establish and develop a regional EURAXESS network in Silesia, supporting researcher mobility and career development, while increasing the international visibility and competitiveness of Polish academic institutions.
This initiative demonstrates how inter-university collaboration can deliver meaningful, long-term impact not only for the institutions involved, but also for the development of the region as a whole.
The project will be implemented by the International Projects Unit within the Internationalisation Office, which played an active role in preparing the successful grant application.
Congratulations to the team – we look forward to seeing the outcomes of this exciting initiative!
