Edyta Lachowicz-Santos, Director of Internationalization at the University of Economics in Katowice, has been elected to the General Council of the EAIE European Association for International Education - one of the most prestigious professional associations focused on the internationalization of higher education.
Edyta Lachowicz-Santos has been involved in activities related to the universities’ internationalization process for more than 20 years. During this time, she has coordinated, as well as participated in, numerous international projects involving universities, employers and graduates. She was also involved in the establishment of SUN (Silesian Universities Network).
She is currently coordinating the implementation of the main objectives of the University's internationalization strategy for years 2018-2025. In addition, she is actively involved in the activities related to obtaining international accreditations, the University's participation in academic cooperation networks or international consortia, and the organization of international events. As part of the measures taken, in 2020 University of Economics in Katowice became the first university in Silesia with CEEMAN IQA international accreditation, and in 2021 the first Welcome Point in the region of Silesia was opened at our University.
On June 23, 2022, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has announced that Edyta Lachowicz-Santos, Director of Internationalization, has been elected to the General Council of one of the most prestigious professional associations focused on the internationalization of higher education - the EAIE European Association for International Education.
