During the ceremonial celebrations of the University Day of the University of Economics in Katowice, grants were presented to outstanding young research and teaching staff members. These distinctions constitute an expression of recognition for the dynamically developing academic staff and their research activity.
The grants were awarded for outstanding scientific activity, in particular for publication achievements and active participation in scientific conferences. The initiative aims to support the development of young researchers, motivate them to continue their research work, and strengthen the University’s scientific potential. This part of the event was hosted by the Vice-Rector for Science and Academic Staff Development prof. dr hab. Maciej Nowak. The grants were funded by the Chair of the University Council of the University of Economics in Katowice - Mr Ryszard Wojtkowski, who, together with HM the Rector prof. dr hab. inż. Celina M. Olszak, presented the distinctions to the award winners.

- mgr Dominika Krawczyńska - Department of Investments
- dr Irena Żurawska-Bartosik - Department of Spatial and Environmental Economics
