Professor Justin Paul Visits the University of Economics in Katowice

The University of Economics in Katowice had the honor of hosting Professor Justin Paul - a world-class scholar and recognized authority in the fields of marketing and international business. The visit took place as part of the project entitled "Consumer Behavior in the Post-COVID Era: New Challenges and Perspectives According to Professor Justin Paul," which aims to deepen the understanding of changing consumer behaviors in the context of global transformations triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

In an era of dynamic socio-economic change, understanding new consumer trends has become crucial for the academic community, businesses, and policymakers alike. Inviting Professor Justin Paul - an expert of international renown - provided a unique opportunity to carry out activities of significant scientific and social value.

Professor Paul’s visit was not only an honor for our University but also an important step toward further internationalization of research and teaching at the University of Economics in Katowice.

Professor Justin Paul serves as the Dean of the School of Business Management at NMIMS University in Mumbai and as a Visiting Professor at Henley Business School, University of Reading, United Kingdom. He is also the Director of Research at the University of Puerto Rico and the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Consumer Studies. He ranks among the 60 most-cited scholars in business and economics worldwide, according to the WOS/Clarivate ranking.

The project was initiated and prepared by dr hab. Artur Strzelecki, Prof. UE, with the support of the Internationalization Office. The initiative was made possible thanks to funding from the Upper Silesia-Zagłębie Metropolis under the Metropolitan Fund for Supporting Science program for the years 2022–2024. The total value of the grant amounts to PLN 63,261, and all activities planned within the project will be completed in 2025.
