REACCT – launching a new Erasmus+ project at our University

In November 2023, a team of our faculty members launched the three-year project REACCT – Reflecting Economics And Climate Change In Teaching. The project is funded by the Erasmus+ KA220-HED - Cooperation partnerships in higher education.

7 partners are involved in the project: University of Akureyri (Iceland) as the project leader, University of Economics in Katowice, Technical University of Ostrava (VSB TUO, Czech Republic), Universita Degli Studi Di Bari Aldo Moro (Italy), Technical University of Kosice (Slovakia), University of Belgrade (Serbia) and UNEP/GRID-Warsaw (Poland – a center affiliated to UNEP – United Nations Environment Programme).

The aim of the project is the promotion of climate change education at economics universities. The project activities include the preparation of innovative teaching content, focusing on the outcomes of discussions with both the scientific and business communities. The results are intended to support graduates of economics universities in their preparation for new professional roles related to the green transition process and the pursuit of climate neutrality goals.

The project has been developed within the framework of educational activities of the Centre for Economics of Climate Change.

Project value: EUR 400,000.00
