From 9 to 13 February 2026, Université de Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens (France) hosted the Staff Week "Building Green and Inclusive Campuses", organised within the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance. The meeting brought together representatives of all ten partner universities, primarily members of the teams implementing Work Packages 4 and 9,
The University of Economics in Katowice was represented dr hab. Monika Wieczorek-Kosmala, prof. UE (Department of Strategic and Regional Studies), dr hab. Dominika Bochańczyk-Kupka, prof. UE (Department of Economics), and Yelyzaveta Kashlieva from the Internationalisation Office.
The programme focused on issues related to sustainable university development, the well-being of the academic community, and the implementation of solutions promoting equality, accessibility, and active student engagement.
A key element of the meeting consisted of working sessions dedicated to drafting a joint document outlining directions for action in this area. Partners worked intensively on its framework, agreeing on common standards and recommendations for the Alliance universities. Subsequent workshops addressed the concept of courses designed and co-delivered by students, highlighting their role as co-creators of the educational offer and initiators of activities responding to current social and environmental challenges.
The Staff Week in Amiens was not only an opportunity to advance key project deliverables, but also a space for exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation among BAUHAUS4EU partners. The solutions developed during the meeting will form the basis for further actions in the upcoming stages of project implementation and will contribute to building a more responsible and modern academic environment within the Alliance.
