In an era of globalization, when the student world is becoming increasingly diverse and multicultural, our University is trying its best to respond to these changing needs by developing Welcome Point – a place that is more than a simple information point. Its main task is to support international students in various aspects of academic life. However, what makes Welcome Point truly stand out from other such initiatives is its commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle in our academic community.
Implementing this idea to such an extent would not have been possible had it not been for the "Feel good @UEKat" project. This undertaking, which has just ended, allowed our University to create a welcoming environment for international students, conducive to improving their mental and physical well-being. Thanks to its holistic approach and focus on various aspects of student well-being, the project has played a vital role in creating student awareness about mental health.
"Feel good @UEKat – support for improving the psycho-physical condition of foreign students at UE Katowice" project received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the program "Welcome to Poland (2022)".
