Success of our International Business students in international Markstrat-Pro 2023 simulation game

Between June 23-25, 2023, eight students of our International Business program along with representatives from universities from Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary and Italy, participated in the Markstrat-Pro marketing game. The students represent the IB Research Club operating at the Department of Consumer Research under the supervision of Prof. Sławomir Smyczek, Ph.D. and Prof. Justyna Matysiewicz, Ph.D. Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera from Valencia, Spain, were responsible for the event.

During Markstrat-Pro 2023 students worked in international groups under the guidance of academic teachers and accredited tutors from the international Dukenet network. Through computer simulations, students were able to gain practical knowledge on making strategic marketing decisions for companies operating in the global competition environment. The success of the group was determined both by the financial result and market shares, as well as teamwork skills and the ability to present the results achieved.

The effort and very good preparation of our students resulted in success and the special award won by the team of Wanda Bohm, Anastasiia Sydorenko, Marta Zocłońska, Kseniia Zvereva, Marta Herman, Monika Działo, Błażej Błoch and Bartłomiej Wiorek.

The organizers recognized our students for their great knowledge of how international business works, their soft skills and reliable work, very high involvement in the implementation of the Markstrat-Pro 2023 game and openness to cooperation in a multicultural environment.
