We are pleased to announce that the University of Economics in Katowice has secured funding for the implementation of the project "KOMPAS - Competences for Supporting International Staff and Students", as part of the NAWA "Welcome to Poland 2024" programme.
The aim of the project is to enhance the University’s internationalisation efforts, strengthen its capacity to serve the international academic community, and increase UEKat’s global visibility. The planned activities include:
- staff competence development,
- improvement of Welcome Point infrastructure,
- purchase of modern IT tools,
- international training and networking opportunities.
The "KOMPAS" project will significantly support the implementation of both the Development Strategy and the Internationalisation Strategy of the University, while also contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This success is all the more meaningful as 112 applications were submitted in the NAWA call, out of which only 39 projects received funding.
The project was initiated by the staff of the Internationalisation Office, which will also be responsible for its implementation.
