On 14-15 May this year, our University hosted members of the CEEMAN PRT Commission (Peer Review Team) - prof. Drikus Kriek from IEDC Bled (Slovenia) and the University of South Africa (Republic of South Africa), as well as prof. Soumodip Sarkar from the University of Évora (Portugal). The visit constituted the final stage of the process of applying for the renewal of the international institutional accreditation CEEMAN International Quality Accreditation (IQA). This distinction was awarded to our University for the first time in 2020 for a period of six years, hence the need to undergo the process again.
The Commission emphasized its satisfaction with the course of the visit, as well as the professionalism and tremendous commitment demonstrated by all employees. In total, the Commission met with more than 50 individuals. These included representatives of the University authorities, academic staff, administrative staff, students, doctoral students, alumni, and representatives of the business community.
The primary purpose of the visit was to verify whether our University had implemented the guidelines and recommendations received at the time the accreditation was granted in 2020. We are currently awaiting the official report of the Commission, which will form the basis for the decision on granting us another distinction. The meeting was preceded by the preparation of a self-evaluation report, developed last year by the Team for International Accreditations.
The CEEMAN IQA accreditation is awarded to universities by the International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies (CEEMAN), which has more than 180 members from around the world. IQA is a quality certificate confirming compliance with requirements concerning efficient operation, a high standard of teaching and scientific research, financial stability, as well as high-quality education. A direct benefit of obtaining international accreditation is greater recognition on the global market.
