On September 11, 2025, the University of Economics in Katowice hosted the workshops "Innovation Lab – Circular Economy for Sustainable Tourism", organized as part of the international project ET CASE (Education Towards Circular and Sustainable Economy). The event was attended by students of the E. Szramek Catholic High School in Katowice, and the workshops were led by prof. Dominika Bochańczyk-Kupka and mgr Aleksandra Swałek.
The meeting aimed to raise ecological awareness among young people and to promote responsible consumer behavior.
Using the design thinking methodology, participants worked in teams to explore how they could travel in a more environmentally friendly way, paying special attention to ecological forms of transport and developing creative solutions that support the protection of our planet. They also took part in a behavioral experiment, which helped them better understand the problem of excessive plastic consumption.
The ET CASE project focuses on supporting sustainable consumption and the circular economy, engaging young people in practical activities and inspiring them to reflect on our choices as consumers.
