EEC is the largest business event in Central Europe. This year it took place at Katowice from 25 april (monday) to 27 april (wednesday). Forum was connected with the future of the Polish and the European economy. This year 150 sessions were prepared with 100 speakers. To the International Congress Center had arrived almost 9 thousands guests, and 500 journalists. There were representatives from our University of Economics in Katowice with Her Magnificence Rector and lecturers. Prime Minister of Poland Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki took part in the inauguration.
Some of the sessions was leaded by specialists from our University.
In the first day of Congress 25 april (monday) at the debates University of Economicas in Katowice was represented by:
- Inflation and its impact on business– Prof. Eugeniusz Gatnar, Ph.D.
- Just transition– Prof. Adam Drobniak, Ph.D.
Moreover was the recording with Her Magnificence Rector Prof. Celina M. Olszak, Ph.D., D.Sc. and Spokesman for Small and Medium Enterprises to Adam Sojka's program "Understand the market".
In the second day 26 april (tuesday) took place the sessions about:
- Smart city and society 5.0 was leaded by Prof. Jacek Szołtysek, Ph.D. Eng. and Sylwia Słupik, Ph.D.
- Green city was leaded by Marcin Baron, Ph.D.
- Electromobility was presented by Prof. Robert Tomanek, Ph.D.- Rector of the University of Economicas in Katowice in 2016-2020
In the last day 27 april (wednesday) took place conferences about:
Science, business, transformation was leaded by Prof. Celina M. Olszak, Ph.D., D.Sc. ‒ HM Rector of University of Economics in Katowice
- Mining was presented by Prof. Robert Tomanek, Ph.D.‒ Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice in 2016-2020
- Work, law, business was leaded by Małgorzata Szczęsny ‒ assistant at the Department of Law and Social Insurance UE Katowice.
At the EEC was opened our University stand where our specialist was presenting their educational and business offer.
