Online summer exam session
Taking into account the continuing increased rates of COVID-19, the authorities of the University of Economics in Katowice decided to conduct examinations using online tools as scheduled for the 2019/2020 academic year.
The University of Economics in Katowice is continuously following the information about the development of the coronavirus pandemic in the voivodeship, in the country and in the world. Our priority is to ensure the safety of students, PhD students and employees of the University, as well as to maintain continuity of education. For this reason, in the event of circumstances that make it impossible to conduct examinations inside the University, the relevant procedures were prepared at the beginning of April. Pursuant to Regulation No. 39/20, verification of achieved learning outcomes specified for individual subjects may take place outside the University premises, using information technology.
Examinations in the summer semester of the 2019/2020 academic year will be conducted in accordance with the schedule set by the Dean of School of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies and the Director of the Doctoral School. Schedules of the examination period will be published on the respective websites of both Schools two weeks before the beginning of the session. You will receive information about the form of conducting the exam and the tool that will be used from your academic teachers until 17 May this year.
Examinations may be conducted orally via Google Meet or MS Teams and in written form on G-Suite, Moodle, MS Teams or other platforms, provided that their use for educational purposes is free or the University owns the appropriate license.
We will make every effort to ensure that the first online examination period is secure, that the rules for examinations are objective and transparent and the tools necessary for conducting them are available to all users.
We wish you to pass exams successfully!
