Choir of the University of Economics in Katowice

  • The choir was founded in March 2006
  • the choral ensemble consists of 60 people and consists of students, graduates and employees of the University of Economics and people from outside the University
  • we sing at academic ceremonies, participate in music projects, regional events and celebrations
  • we take part in competitions and choral festivals
  • we have won awards in national competitions: in Tychy, Gniezno, Międzyrzecz, Będzin, Bydgoszcz, Myślenice and Kielce and in international competitions: in Eišiškės in Lithuania, Lloret de Mar in Spain, Bielsko-Biała, Rybnik, Będzin, Prague, Cracow, Warsaw, Banská Bystrica, Barczewo, Cieszyn and Ohrid in Macedonia.
  • we tour abroad: Italy (2 times), Spain (2 times), Turkey, Lithuania, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Macedonia, China
  • we cooperate with other choirs: Academic Music Ensemble of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, SUP'Vocalis from Saint-Etienne, Cantate Deo Choir operating at the Holy Cross parish in Tychy, Academic Choir of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Zabrze Resonans Choir Con Tutti and Song and Dance Ensemble "Silesianie" of the University of Economics in Katowice
  • we meet at rehearsals twice a week
  • we improve our skills at music workshops
  • we present classical, sacred, entertainment and folk music
  • we sing in different languages
  • we released three albums
  • we organize occasional choristers' meetings.
