Third edition of the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance newsletter

We present the third edition of the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance newsletter, summarising the intensive and successful first year of activities of the BAUHAUS4EU European University and announcing further initiatives undertaken by the Alliance partners.

BAUHAUS4EU - A European University for Resilient, Sustainable, Inclusive and Beautiful Regions - is a community of 10 universities and 67 partners from across Europe, creating a shared European campus of over 124,000 students and 10,000 staff members. The Alliance is rooted in the principles of the New European Bauhaus, the European Green Deal, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, supporting the transformation of regions towards greater resilience, sustainability, and inclusiveness.

In the third edition of the newsletter you will find, among others:

  • Recognition of BAUHAUS4EU by the European Commission - the Alliance has been identified as a best practice example in regional transformation, thanks to, among other things, interdisciplinary curricula, regional living labs, and the sustainable development of partner university campuses.
  • Results of the 1st BAUHAUS4EU Photo Contest entitled “Inclusive Grounds: Stories of Belonging and Resilience” - featuring four winning visual stories that highlight community, belonging, and resilience in academic life.
  • A summary of the first year of BAUHAUS4EU activities - an overview of key achievements, milestones, reports, events, and the first joint educational and organisational offers.
  • The first meeting of the BAUHAUS4EU Regional Council at the University of Economics in Katowice, which brought together representatives of local government, business, socio-economic institutions, students, and university staff, setting directions for further regional cooperation.
  • The first meeting of BAUHAUS4EU university Presidents with the Alliance Advisory Council, marking an important step in building a long-term strategy and vision for the development of BAUHAUS4EU.
  • Announcements of upcoming events and Staff Weeks, organised, among others, at the University of Macedonia and Université de Picardie Jules Verne.

We warmly invite you to read the third edition of the BAUHAUS4EU newsletter and to follow the Alliance’s further activities on the project website.

The newsletter is available on the website.
