On May 15-16, 2025, dr hab. Artur Walasik, prof. UE, Dean of the Doctoral School at the University of Economics in Katowice, represented our university at the academic ceremony and the kick-off meeting of the Regional Council of the BAUHAUS4EU alliance hosted by Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) in Karlskrona, Sweden.
BTH, like our university, is a member of the BAUHAUS4EU alliance-A European University for Resilient, Sustainable, Inclusive and Beautiful Regions. Professor Walasik’s visit contributed to strengthening international academic relations and exchanging experiences within the alliance framework.
On May 15, participants gathered for the launch of the BAUHAUS4EU Regional Council meeting, during which strategic directions and regional initiatives of the alliance were discussed.
The following day, on May 16, Professor Walasik attended BTH’s official academic ceremony, held in the historic Fredrikskyrkan in Karlskrona, marking the nomination of Professor Henric Johnson as the new Vice-Chancellor of BTH. The event also included the introduction of newly appointed professors, the conferment of doctoral degrees and honorary distinctions, and formal recognitions for university staff and student representatives.
Presence of our Alma Mater at this prestigious event reflects our university’s ongoing commitment to international cooperation and engagement in initiatives shaping the future of European higher education.
