The event initiates the "Academic Publication Strategy" workshops, organised as a part of the project ExCORE "International Centre of Research Excellence in Transition of COal REgions (ExCORE)", funded by NAWA (Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange) under the Strategic Partnerships Programme; Project No. BPI/PST/2021/1/00007. 

Content of the first workshop: 

Introduction - Overview of the workshops

• Expectations of the participants - research interests, topics and challenges
• The context of research outputs
• What makes a good research article?

Writing quantitative-led papers

• This session will discuss development of a quantitative paper, and will focus on writing a motivation, literature review (including theory), methodology and findings. Making use of published papers to demonstrate differences between high and low quality papers.
