Mohan Ram is the Head of Global Field Marketing at DigitalOcean where he leads the regional expansion and marketing initiatives for the company to drive growth in key and emerging markets.
He was previously the Head of Go-to-Market for APAC, Easter Europe and MENA regions, where he helped expand the company's presence in new regions through Business Development, Developer and Startup Community engagements, and PR initiatives.
Earlier, he built and managed DigitalOcean's global startup program, Hatch to support startups as they launch and scale. Being only the second hire for DigitalOcean's international expansion team in India, he was involved in building localized go-to-market strategies and partnerships with key ecosystem players such as accelerators, incubators, VC firms, local government bodies and developer communities in APAC.
Previously Mohan has worked with Fortune 500 companies such as NetApp where he built and managed partnerships in India and Sri Lanka markets. He has also worked with startups and startup-enabling organizations such as Kyron (now Techstars India) where he helped build innovation programs and corporate accelerator programs for companies like Target, LBrands, Swiss Re and Lowe's. He is an international speaker, having spoken at well-known startup and technology conferences in the US, Indonesia, Turkey and Portugal. He also volunteers as a Lead Mentor at Techstars and other accelerator programs.
