Sławomir Smyczek is full professor at the University of Economics in Katowice and takes position of Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations. He is national representative in the Asian Marketing Association MAGScholar and in the European Universities Network DUKENET, of which he was President in period 2017-2019. In 2022 was elected as President of Silesia University Network (SUN). Prof. Smyczek has written over 200 publications on subject of consumer behavior, consumer rights protection and marketing. His resent book titled Consumer protection - Standards in Europe was awarded by Minister of Education and Science. Prof. Smyczek has been serving as visiting professor at many universities including Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria), University of Haute-Alsace (France), Budapest Business School (Hungary), Howest University (Belgium). Prof. Smyczek was leader and member of several international research and didactic projects, including: Enhancing quality in innovative higher education about consumer awareness Consume-aware finance by Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership. He also serves as a consultant in area of relationship marketing for institutions and enterprises involved in international business.
