Anne Miroux

Anne Miroux is Faculty Fellow at the Emerging Markets Institute (EMI), S.C. Johnson School of Management at Cornell University. She is a former Director of the Division on Technology and Logistics in the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and Head of the Secretariat of the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development.  

She has over 30 years of experience in international trade, finance and technology and innovation policies. For several years she directed the World Investment Reports (WIR) - the United Nations flagship report on FDI and transnational corporations - that received the Academy of International Business (AIB) Presidential Award in 2020. She has published extensively and led many research and technical assistance projects on debt, FDI and transnational corporations, and technology and innovation policies. Her latest books include “The Era of Chinese Multinationals” (2020, Elsevier Academy press) with Lourdes Casanova, and “Innovation from Emerging Markets: from Copycats to Leaders” (Cahen, Casanova and Miroux, eds., 2021, Cambridge University Press ). She is also the co-author with Lourdes Casanova of the EMI Reports on Emerging Markets Multinationals (https://ecommons.cornell.edu/handle/1813/66953).  

Anne Miroux is a member of the Advisory Board of the “Sanjaya Lall Programme for Technology and Management (SLPTMD)” of the Department of International Development at Oxford University and  of the Foundation for the Future of Supply Chain. She is also Senior Editor at the “Transnational Corporations Review” (TNCR), Canada, and an Associate Editor of the Revista de Gestao (REGE), (USP, Brasil).  

She has an MBA from HEC (Paris), and graduated from Institut de Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po Paris). She has a PhD in Economic for Paris I-Sorbonne.
