The November edition of the Word Cafe event focused on dynamic dialogue and analysis of cultural differences between Spain and Poland. The event, which took place on November 19, 2025, brought together students, teachers and administrative staff.
Culture and Stereotypes in Polish-Spanish Dialogue
The main speaker at the meeting was an intern from Spain, whose presentation aimed to introduce the culture of the Iberian Peninsula. The key point was a discussion on mutual stereotypes, through a discussion of the perception of Spain and Spanish people from the perspective of Poles. The speaker then presented his external perspective, pointing out what surprised him in the context of stereotypes about Poland and Poles. This exchange of views became an important starting point for further in-depth discussion. Participants actively shared their own experiences related to Spain and other countries. The conversation focused on personal encounters with cultural diversity and an analysis of how stereotypes function in an international context.
The culinary accent of the meeting
The November edition was additionally enriched with culinary accents directly related to the theme of the event. Participants had the opportunity to drink freshly squeezed juices, whose flavors referred to the cultures discussed: apples - symbolizing Poland, and oranges - representing Spain.
