On Thursday, October 30, the first World Cafe meeting of this academic year took place at Welcome Point, on our University campus! The event brought students together, offering not only aromatic coffee but, more importantly, a space for international integration and discussion.
Unusual Holidays and Halloween
The theme of the meeting was a journey through unusual holidays celebrated in Poland and a presentation on Halloween celebrations around the world. Participants had the opportunity to exchange views, share funny stories, and increase their cultural diversity. As always, Word Cafe proved to be the perfect place for casual discussion and making new friends.
Unforgettable Atmosphere and Challenges
The Welcome Point team made a great effort to create a perfect Halloween setting, thanks to multiple decorations and snacks. In addition, to enrich the meeting and introduce a healthy element of competition, two challenges were organized for the participants. The first was the Spooky Quiz, which allowed participants to test their knowledge and insight into various traditions and interesting facts from around the world. On the other hand, the competition for the best Halloween costume encouraged creativity, with participants presenting imaginative outfits.
