Fees for academic year 2026/2027
Fees for foreign students (non-EU students)
Application fee:
• 85 PLN (EUR 20) – if you are not required to take an entrance exam or interview; or
• 100 PLN (EUR 23) – if an entrance exam or interview is required.
Log in to our application system, select your chosen field of study and fill in the application form. Next, pay the application fee (please note that we only accept bank transfers). Once the payment has been received and recorded in the University's account, your application will be processed and verified. After obtaining a positive result of admission, you will receive a payment notification for the first-year tuition fee. The fee should be paid within 14 days from the date of being qualified for admission to the studies. When we confirm the transfer, we will issue your acceptance letter, which can be used for your visa application.

Terms and conditions
The fees for studying at the University of Economics in Katowice are obligatory for international students. The tuition fee for foreign long-term students can be less or free of charge in case of:
- European Union (EU) or European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Member States citizens and theirs relatives, if they are residing in Poland members of their families, if residing in the territory of Poland;
- foreigners who have been granted a permanent residence permit (settlement permit) in the territory of Poland or a long-term residence permit of the EU in the territory of Poland;
- foreigners who in the territory of Poland have been granted a temporary residence permit (residence permit for a fixed period) pursuant to some special circumstances, referred to in Articles: 159 section 1**, or Article 186 section 1 subsections 3 or 4*** of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners;
- foreigners who hold refugee status granted by the Republic of Poland;
- foreigners who have been granted temporary protection in the territory of Poland;
- foreigners who have been granted subsidiary protection in the territory of Poland;
- holders of the Polish language C1 level certificate issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language;
- holders of the valid Pole's Card;
- holders of the formal Polish origin acknowledgement;
- spouses, children and parents of a Polish citizen, if residing in the territory of Poland.
