3rd International Academic Conference "Energy justice & energy transition - global, Europe, state"
November 6-7, 2025, KATOWICE, POLAND

We are delighted to invite you to the third edition of the International Academic Conference “Energy Justice & Energy Transition – global, Europe, state”, a unique platform that brings together leading scholars and practitioners to explore legal, economic, and policy dimensions of the global energy transition.
A just energy transition sounds ideal in theory: no one is left behind, everyone is included, and the transition to clean, sustainable, and modern energy is achieved flawlessly. It is a compelling vision, but the path forward is paved with challenges.
Many of these are legal and regulatory in nature, stemming from poorly designed laws and regulations – ranging from overly complex and rigid to outdated and contradictory. Simply repealing them is not always the solution, in fact, it can severely hinder the transition process and harm stakeholders.
A thorough analysis combined with well-considered recommendations is essential. The third edition of this international conference serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and discussions among scholars from around the world. The debate will cover the legal and economic aspects of the energy sector in Poland, Europe, and then more broadly globally. The IAC "Energy Justice & Energy Transition" has become a permanent fixture in the calendar of international conferences on energy law and regulation.
The organizer of the conference is the Department of Energy Transition at the University of Economics in Katowice.
