The Human Subject Research Ethics Committee was established by Order of April 21, 2022, of the Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice. 

The Committee's first term lasts until December 31, 2024. 

The Committee's task is to give opinions on research projects involving human subjects at the request of an interested employee or doctoral student. The Committee checks the project's compliance with the Code of Ethics of our University to promote scientific integrity standards and the values on which our University's mission is based. 

The Committee shall submit an annual report to the Vice-Rector in charge of science by the deadline of January 31 through the Chair of the Ethics Committee after its review by the Committee.  

The Chair of the Ethics Committee oversees compliance with the Committee's Rules and Regulations.
