Council and Speakers

The 4th International Academic Conference Energy Justice & Energy Transition – Global, Europe, State is an international academic forum dedicated to examining the legal, economic, regulatory and societal dimensions of contemporary energy transition. Building on the success of the previous three editions, the Conference continues to bring together leading scholars, policymakers, regulators and industry representatives to discuss the most pressing challenges facing the global energy sector.

The Conference reflects the increasingly international nature of energy transition research and practice. Participants will include academics and experts from leading universities and research institutions across Europe, as well as representatives from South America, the Middle East, Australia and India. The event aims to foster dialogue between different legal systems, regulatory traditions and regional experiences, creating a unique platform for the exchange of ideas on energy justice, energy security, climate governance and sustainable development.

The Conference Programme Council comprises members of the Department of Energy Transition at the University of Economics in Katowice together with internationally recognised scholars from partner universities and research centres around the world. Their expertise covers energy law, climate law, energy economics, public policy, sustainability and international governance.

The Conference will also welcome representatives of European institutions, regulatory authorities, international organisations and leading European energy associations. Their participation will provide valuable practical insights into current developments in energy policy, regulation and the implementation of energy transition objectives at both the European and global levels.

The Honorary Council consists of distinguished academics, senior policymakers, regulators and respected professionals whose contributions have significantly shaped the development of the energy sector, energy law and energy transition policy in Europe and beyond.
