UEKat in BAUHAUS4EU

The main goal of the project is to enhance the internationalization and institutional potential of the University of Economics in Katowice (UEKat) through complementary activities to those implemented within the BAUHAUS4EU (B4EU) Alliance. As one of the initiators and co-founders of the consortium, our University recognizes that one of the greatest challenges of this ambitious initiative is to engage members of the academic communities of all partner universities in Alliance activities. Therefore, this project aims to create additional opportunities for cooperation across various levels and fields — fostering understanding of the Alliance’s mission and increasing the engagement of the entire community. At the same time, this project will strengthen our University’s position within the consortium and underline its key role in the development of BAUHAUS4EU.

The project covers the entire BAUHAUS4EU Alliance, which comprises 10 higher education institutions with a total of 124,000 students and 10,000 staff members. These universities collaborate closely through innovative formats and channels that shape the future of learning, teaching, research, and innovation:

  • Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Germany) – lead institution
  • Blekinge Tekniska Högskola (Sweden)
  • Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco (Portugal)
  • University of Economics in Katowice (Poland)
  • Università degli Studi di Bergamo (Italy)
  • Université de Picardie Jules Verne (France)
  • Université Lumière Lyon 2 (France)
  • University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (Bulgaria)
  • Universiteti Polis (Albania)
  • University of Macedonia (Greece)

The project "UEKat in BAUHAUS4EU – developing the University’s potential for a European University for sustainable, resilient, and inclusive regions" is financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the "Support for European Universities" program, with a total budget of PLN 967,602.00.
