Erasmus Staff Training Week 2019

"Soft Skills in the International Setting"

Alicia, University of Liverpool, UK

The trainings combined theory and practice and the trainers facilitated reflection and discussion that allowed participants to apply and utilize the knowledge. I really enjoyed the activities. The Erasmus Staff Training Week was really beneficial and I enjoyed the experience greatly. The International Relations staff was so hospitable and the training was both interesting and useful. I have already highly recommended this exchange week to my colleagues.

Ulisses, University of Porto, Portugal

Nice out of the box approach, I wasn´t expecting this kind of trainings. Usually very boring presentations. Very good subjects and useful topics to improve our soft skills. I specially appreciated the games and ways used to connect the participants. Overall, the best International Week I have participated.

Angelika, Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, Germany

Thank you so much to all International Relations staff of the University of Economics in Katowice for this very interesting and very well organized staff week, which has been a very valuable and useful experience. I appreciated this week in Katowice a lot and will keep it forever in my heart.

It was an amazing experience in terms of administrative matters, accommodation, organization of the event, trainings, social programme ... everything. I am very happy I was accepted to the staff week at UE Katowice.

Geraldine, British University in Egypt, Egypt

The trainings were raising awareness and understanding of what inter-cultural communication involves and demonstrating the value of using mindfulness and emotional intelligence in the workplace. The commitment and support of the International Relations staff was outstanding. The programme was very well organized and very interesting. Full marks all round.

Aydan, Baku Business University, Azerbaijan

The strongest point of this training is professionalism. It was very intensive and informative training. The content of the training is full of very useful and systematic information. At the same time it was very well balanced in terms of time and difficulties. Every day was organized professionally with its unique content! Evidently, it can be said, that a week of training has been much more interesting than my pre-training view of it. This was the first time I had taken part in Erasmus staff training and I am impressed at how effective it proved to be. And of course, I am happy I have participated in this training. Thank you for this wonderful week!

Sarah, University of Edinburgh, UK

I loved the training week. I found the cross cultural communications and mindfulness brilliant, and will definitely be able to use this in my personal and working life. The number of people attending was good, as I felt I managed to network and make new friends. The team hosting were brilliant! Really, really enjoyed my week.

Alena, Czech Univeristy of Life Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic

I have really enjoyed the 7th Erasmus+ Staff Training Week at the University of Economics in Katowice. It gathered together qualified wonderful people from all over the world and gave the opportunity to work together, to exchange experiences and knowledge, to develop new ideas, to learn from each other, to bring countries, cultures and universities closer and to start not only new professional cooperation, but also new friendships :-) This was my 1st Erasmus+ Staff Training Week I have taken part at, so I was so much excited and curious! It was definitely an amazing experience in my life !! I am still keeping in mind some Polish words and some tips which I can apply to my everyday work, also keeping in touch with some of the colleagues and hoping for the further cooperation! I would love to THANK all the members of the International Relations Office for their hard work and efforts!

Ennio, University of Salento, Italy

I consider this training course as an excellent opportunity for getting professional development and improving networking building capacity, as well as for exchanging ideas and good practices with colleagues from many countries and higher education institutions.

Patrick, Holy Spirit University of Kaslik,Lebanon

Amazed by the team, everything was well prepared and no mistake occurred, I enjoyed my stay and wish I can come again to Katowice and meet the team and have new program and learn new things.
