Who Can Apply?

The Polish–Italian Intensive School on Energy Transition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from the University of Economics in Katowice and the University of Pavia.

Applications are welcome from students of all academic disciplines. The interdisciplinary nature of the programme is one of its greatest strengths, bringing together participants with diverse educational backgrounds and perspectives. By encouraging collaboration across different fields of study, the School creates a unique environment in which participants can exchange ideas, develop innovative solutions and gain a broader understanding of the challenges associated with the energy transition.

Whether your interests lie in economics, law, finance, management, public policy, international relations, sustainability, data analysis, business, social sciences or related disciplines, the programme offers valuable opportunities to expand your knowledge and develop practical skills relevant to the rapidly evolving energy sector.

Participants will work in international and multidisciplinary teams, enabling them to gain experience in cross-cultural cooperation, collaborative problem-solving and policy-oriented project work. No prior specialist knowledge of energy transition is required; however, applicants should demonstrate a genuine interest in sustainability, climate policy, energy security, innovation or related contemporary challenges.

To ensure a highly interactive and engaging learning experience, participation is limited to a selected group of students from both partner institutions. The programme aims to create a dynamic international learning community in which participants can learn from leading experts while building lasting academic and professional connections across Europe.
