About the project

The project "Consumer behavior in the post-COVID era: New challenges and perspectives according to Prof. Justin Paul" aims to expand understanding of how consumer behavior in the context of global changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In a time of rapid socio-economic change, understanding emerging consumer trends is vital for researchers, businesses, and policymakers. Inviting Prof. Justin Paul, a renowned expert in Consumer Research and International Marketing, will facilitate several activities of high scientific and social value. His extensive experience and innovative research methods present a unique opportunity to enhance the competence of our academic staff and enrich the university's educational offer. Prof. Paul's participation will be a valuable contribution to the scientific growth of our academic community, ultimately supporting the internationalization of our University.
Prof. Justin Paul is a top scholar and recognized expert in Marketing and International Business. He currently serves as the Dean of the NMIMS School of Business Management in Mumbai, which is accredited by AACSB. He is also a visiting professor at Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK. He is known for creating many theoretical models and conceptual frameworks, such as:
- the Masstige Marketing Model and a measure for brand management,
- the CPP (Core, Peripheral, Peripheral) Model for internationalization,
- the SCOPE Framework for small businesses,
- the 7-P Model for international marketing,
- the TCCM, SPAR-4-SLR, and ADO Frameworks for literature reviews
The project was initiated and prepared by dr hab. Artur Strzelecki, prof. UE, with the support of Internationalization.
The project has been co-financed by the Metropolis GZM within the framework of the "Metropolitan Science and Education Support Fund" program for the years 2022-2024. All activities planned for the project are scheduled to be implemented in 2025, and the total grant amount is PLN 63,261.00.

Scientist's profile

Prof. Justin Paul is the winner of the Research Icon Award 2023 and holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Engineering and Management in Kolkata.
Since 2021, he has been Director of Research at the University of Puerto Rico. He is also editor-in-chief of the consumer studies journal International Journal of Consumer Studies and one of the most downloaded authors in the world (over 9 million downloads). He is among the top 60 most cited scientists in the world, according to the WOS/Clarivate ranking in the discipline of Business and Economics.
He holds the position of EQUIS Judge for Business School Accreditation in Europe and Asia.
