This is a continuation of the ECOnomics4Climate II project, which was implemented in 2024.  In Area 2, the project covers several research topics closely related to the objectives specified in the GZM Development Strategy, the Metropolis GZM  Strategic Action Programme, the Silesian Voivodeship Development Strategy "Silesia 2030" and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The project focuses again on the specific objective of the "Metropolitan Science and Education Support Fund" program, which is innovation for talent development – stimulating creativity among students and teachers to harness their potential and adapt the university to future development trends.

The project is a cluster of thematically related modules. 

The following initiatives comprise the ECOnomics4Climate III project:

1. Acceptance of tourist accommodation providers' sustainable communication
2. Household attitudes towards "green" investments
3. The European Union's environmental policy and the efficiency of sawmill production and trade companies in Poland in 2014–2024 (in the context of climate change)
4. Sustainable Water Management in the Metropolis – Residents’ Behavioural Patterns and Household Water Footprint
5. Household attitudes towards energy resources mining investments
6. Households' attitudes and preferences as capital providers in the market for socially responsible financial instruments in the context of climate change

The project has been co-financed by the Metropolis GZM within the framework of the "Metropolitan Science and Education Support Fund" program for years 2022-2024, prepared with the support of Internationalization. All activities planned for the project are scheduled to be implemented in 2025, and the total grant amount is PLN 208,350.00.
