About the project
The aim of the project "The development of ESG competencies among young adult Metropolis GZM citizens and their leisure mobility" is to identify the leisure mobility pattern of young adults to improve their competencies, with particular emphasis on ESG skills (E – Environment, S – Social responsibility, and G – Corporate governance). The dynamically changing needs of the labor market make it difficult to prepare young adults for the changing requirements and expectations of employers. This is due to the rapid technological changes and the need to adapt to the regulations imposed by the European Union.
The following research questions arise in relation to this objective:
- Do young adults living in the GZM area improve their professional skills in their free time? If so, to what extent?
- Are young adults living in the GZM area aware of the importance of ESG (E – Environment, S – Social responsibility, and G – Corporate governance) competencies? If so, what ESG skills are they willing to improve in their free time?
- How do these people travel in their free time to improve their skills within the GZM? What do they consider when choosing a particular means of transport?
- How can communication behaviors generate additional burdens on the transportation system and the environment in the GZM?
The project coordinator is dr Anna Mercik, implemented with the support of Internationalization.
The project has been co-financed by the Metropolis GZM within the framework of the "Metropolitan Science and Education Support Fund" program for the years 2022-2024. All planned activities will be carried out in 2025. The total value of the project is PLN 35.460,00.
