About the project
The purpose of the "Learning from Masters: Prof. Reggie Hooghiemstra" project is to improve the scientific research level of our University academic staff in areas of the research workshop refinement and scientific work internationalization. The project includes joint scientific work and the preparation of a scientific paper. Professor Hooghiemstra shall also conduct a guest lecture for our University students entitled "Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability, in the context of climate change," and provide mentoring support in the implementation of research projects to both experienced and young scientists.
The project is coordinated by dr hab. Monika Wieczorek-Kosmala, prof. UE. It is part of the "ECOnomics4Climate" cluster, which is being implemented by Prof. Wieczorek-Kosmala, with support from Internationalization.
The project "Learning from Masters: prof. Reggie Hooghiemstra" has been co-financed by the Metropolis GZM within the framework of the "Metropolitan Science and Education Support Fund" program for the years 2022-2024 in the amount of PLN 46,636.00.
Project implementation period: February – April 2023.
Scientist's profile
Professor Reggie Hooghiemstra is a renowned expert in the field of non-financial reporting, a staff member of the University of Groningen.
He has authored numerous scientific publications in the highest-ranked journals in the discipline of Finance, and his work is extensively cited. Additionally, he works closely with a number of prominent academics (within the British Accounting and Finance Association).
Professor Reggie Hooghiemstra's recent research interests include the link between corporate governance mechanisms and corporate sustainability, particularly the information policies of management boards on the challenges of climate change.
