About the project

The aim of the "Learning from Masters: Prof. Steffen Andersen" project is primarily the improvement of the scientific research level of our University academic staff in the areas concerning the research workshop refinement and scientific work internationalization (opportunities to establish scientific and research cooperation).

Prof. Andersen’s planned activities shall improve certain aspects of scientific work, especially in terms of the presentation of the natural experiment method and its implementation in research work.

The major asset of the project is the opportunity to continue research cooperation with Prof. Andersen, which began in 2022, when he joined the research team of the CERES project, carried out by our University staff. This cooperation is being financed by the "Metropolitan Fund for Support of Science" program.

Activities planned as part of this continued collaboration include analysis of empirical data, as well as joint work on a paper and its presentation at our University. These activities are planned in a mentoring format, which provides a rare opportunity to benefit directly from the Professor's experience.

The project is coordinated by dr hab. Monika Wieczorek-Kosmala, prof. UE. It is part of the "ECOnomics4Climate" cluster, which is being implemented by Prof. Wieczorek-Kosmala, with support from Internationalization.

The project "Learning from Masters: Prof. Steffen Andersen" has been co-financed by the Metropolis GZM within the framework of the "Metropolitan Science and Education Support Fund" program for the years 2022-2024 in the amount of PLN 35,312.00.

Project implementation period: February – November 2023.
