About the project
The "Understanding Green Finance: Prof. Ismail Erturk" project aims to improve the scientific research level of our University academic staff in the research workshop refinement and scientific work internationalization. The activities within the project framework include mentoring sessions conducted by Professor Erturk in the form of consultations, which focus on supporting the scientific quality of research projects carried out by young scientists. The meetings will focus on preparing grants and research projects in finance and just transformation. Professor Erturk's vast experience obtaining grants and participating in projects of interdisciplinary and international significance is crucial to this aspect.
Also planned is joint work on a scientific paper and the "Mathematical, statistical and econometric methods in sustainable finance" study conducted at the Faculty of Finance. In addition, Professor Erturk will give a guest lecture to our students of the Finance and Accounting program with the participation of doctoral students and students of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, covering the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to green finance and the opportunities and risks it entails.
Our guest's stay will be an excellent opportunity to include Professor Erturk in the Greening Energy Markets and Finance project conducted at the Department. This will enable us to benefit from Professor Erturk's experience, both by working on joint publications and by discussing new projects face-to-face.
The project was initiated and prepared by dr hab. Ewa Dziwok, prof. UE, with the support of Internationalization.
The project has been co-financed by the Metropolis GZM within the framework of the "Metropolitan Science and Education Support Fund" program for the years 2022-2024. All planned activities will be carried out in 2024. The total value of the project is PLN 53,757.00.
