About the project

The aim of the "Learning from Masters: Prof. Yannis Tsalavoutas" project is to improve the scientific and research skills of our University staff, support young scientists through the enhancement of their research skills and the ability to work in an international environment, and internationalize our University via activities that enable direct contact with Prof. Yannis Tsalavoutas, an internationally acclaimed expert in the field of climate change reporting. Scheduled activities with Prof. Tsalavoutas will achieve this goal for multiple vital aspects of conducting scientific work. In the methodological aspect, Prof. Tsalavoutas will provide mentoring support in implementing research projects by both experienced academics and young researchers.  Our faculty members will mainly benefit from our guest's vast experience in scientific publications. Prof. Tsalavoutas is an editor-in-chief of several major journals in the discipline of Economics and Finance. At the same time, Prof. Tsalavoutas is conducting research in areas that match the primary goal of the ECOnomics4Climate II project, being an internationally recognized expert in climate change reporting (a new and growing discipline that is part of advanced accounting). Our guest's participation in the ECOnomics4Climate II project is also linked to his involvement in the research module, as Prof. Tsalavoutas will mentor young scientists conducting research within the other modules in the project.

The project is coordinated by dr hab. Monika Wieczorek-Kosmala, prof. UE. It is part of the "ECOnomics4Climate II" cluster, which is being implemented by Prof. Wieczorek-Kosmala, with support from Internationalization.
