24 maja br. w ramach Tygodnia Pieniądza w Mieście Nauki odbyło się seminarium online pt. "The past, present and future of finance", na które składały się dwa wykłady interaktywne: "The future of finance field" oraz "Risk perception and decision making". Spotkania poprowadziły: Xihui Chen, PhD, SFHEA, Keel Business School, Keele University, UK oraz Linda Snippe MSc. CBM, University of Applied Sciences, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. W wydarzeniu wzięli udział m.in. pracownicy Katedry Bankowości i Rynków Finansowych, Katedry Finansów Przedsiębiorstw i Ubezpieczeń Gospodarczych oraz studenci Politechniki Częstochowskiej. Zgromadzonych gości powitała dr hab. Joanna Błach, prof. UE.
Linda Snippe - "Risk perception and decision making"
In a dynamic environment, we often overlook the diverse impacts that risks may present. My research focuses on decision-making processes. This lecture explores the elements that shape our perception of risk. We will also delve into scientific theories related to decision making and risk management. Additionally, the lecture will include a case study titled "When Perception Leads to Action" which examines risk management. Understanding decision-making is crucial in finance, as it directly affects an organization's operational efficiency.
