BAUHAUS4EU at EAIE 2026 in Glasgow


The BAUHAUS4EU Alliance will be taking part in EAIE 2026, taking place from 8 to 11 September 2026 at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow. EAIE 2026 brings together higher education professionals from across Europe and beyond to explore current developments in international education and foster new partnerships. For BAUHAUS4EU, the conference is an opportunity to present our work as a European University Alliance and highlight the opportunities we are developing together across our partner institutions. A new wave of courses in our catalogue. Find your next learning experience!

Our Course Catalogue has been updated with the latest learning opportunities from across the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance. With new courses now available, there are more ways than ever to learn, connect and explore Europe your way. There are BIPs, COILs, hackathons, seminars, training and workshops on a wide variety of topics, in all institutions. It gives students, academic and administrative staff more opportunities to learn across disciplines and universities. Explore our course catalogue here!

BAUHAUS4EU at the 11th Living Knowledge Conference

In July, BAUHAUS4EU participated in the 11th Living Knowledge Conference in Gdańsk, an vibrant international forum of the international Science Shops network. The conference brought together researchers, universities, civil society organisations and local communities. The Alliance seized the opportunity to showcase the Regional Living Labs as a concrete model for integrating regional partners into higher education and addressing societal challenges through collaboration. 1st BAUHAUS4EU PhD Hackathon, at UEKat, achieved!

The first edition of the BAUHAUS4EU PhD Hackathon took place at the University of Economics in Katowice from July 6-9. During the four-day event, doctoral students worked on selected research topics, seeking creative and innovative solutions. Participants gave very positive feedback on the event, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, diverse perspectives, and the opportunity to develop research ideas jointly. The Hackathon provided a space for interdisciplinary collaboration, the exchange of experiences, and the development of skills in an international and multicultural academic environment. BIPs at UPCB brought 40 students from the Alliance

Polytechnic University of Castelo Branco (UPCB) held four Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) in May and June, bringing together several students from partner universities of the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance. Among the 108 students who participated in the BIPs, 16 were from the University of Bergamo (Italy), 13 from POLIS University (Albania), 7 from Université Lumière Lyon 2 (France), 3 from Université de Picardie Jules Verne (France), and 1 from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Germany). The topics addressed in the BIPs reflected the diversity of academic fields that the institution offers to the student community. Know more here!

8/11-09 : EAIE Glasgow 2026 The EAIE Conference and Exhibition is the annual meeting point for over 7000 international education professionals. It offers a focused space to connect with partners, strengthen collaboration in education and research, exchange expertise, and gain practical insights into current programmes and funding developments. Events at local institutions

8/11-09 : UACEG - Academy for Young Explorers Designed for pupils from 6 to 12 years-old, with the aim of introducing children to engineering and creative professions, as well as the courses taught at our University, in an accessible, fun and practical way. There will be three BAUHAUS4EU sessions in the form of team games in order to let children experience the concept of our Alliance.

 

21-09: UniBg - Inaugural Lecture The University of Bergamo’s Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures will inaugurate its lecture series with a talk by Professor Raffaella Pulejo on the principles and values of the Bauhaus movement, entitled "The Principles of the Bauhaus: Insights for the Development of European University Cooperation". The lecture will explore Bauhaus in relation to European cooperation and the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance.
