The First BAUHAUS4EU Interregional Workshop at POLIS University
POLIS University became the meeting point of universities, institutions, municipalities, researchers, businesses, and innovation actors from across Europe during the First Interregional Workshop of the BAUHAUS4EU European University Alliance, held in Tirana on 5 May. Conceived as a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and co-creation, the event marked one of the first major interregional gatherings of the Alliance, bringing together international and local stakeholders to discuss how higher education can respond to the complex challenges shaping Europe’s future. Building Belonging: BAUHAUS4EU at the European Parliament
Two BAUHAUS4EU representatives took part in the FOREU4ALL Community of Practice 3 transversal workshop, held on 2-3 June 2026 in France, hosted at the prestigious Strasbourg European Parliament. rd Around 130 colleagues from 58 European University Alliances gathered to explore the topic “From Campuses to Communities: enhancing engagement and sense of belonging in European Universities” and to generate concrete ideas, based on shared challenges. UEKat brings the BAUHAUS4EU Community together for the second Forum
From 22 to 26 June, the University of Economics in Katowice will host the 2nd BAUHAUS4EU Forum, the largest annual event of the Alliance. The Forum serves as a key platform for bringing together all partners and showcasing the hosting institution, as well as the city and region—its cultural identity, strengths, and challenges. This year’s edition in Katowice will gather over 200 participants from 10 partner universities across 9 European countries. It also promises to be a dynamic and inspiring gathering, reinforcing the Alliance’s mission to connect education, research, and regional development across Europe. Find out more here!
UoM showcases BAUHAUS4EU Initiatives at the Aristotle Innovation Forum 2026
As part of its participation in the Aristotle Innovation Forum 2026, the University of Macedonia successfully organized the BAUHAUS4EU Regional Workshop entitled “Regional Innovation Ecosystems: Universities and Society in Collaboration” on 22 May at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre. The workshop was held within the framework of the BAUHAUS4EU European University Alliance and focused on the role of universities in promoting innovation, sustainability and regional development through collaboration with local communities, public authorities, businesses and civil society organizations. 2nd edition of the BIP “Inclusive and Accessible Environments for Disability”
From 4 to 8 May, University of Bergamo hosted students, lecturers and researchers from three universities of the BAUHAUS4EU Alliance — Université de Picardie Jules Verne, Politécnico de Castelo Branco and Bauhaus-Universität Weimar — for the second edition of the Blended Intensive Programme “Inclusive and Accessible Environments for Disability”. A look back at the 5 European Student Assembly (ESA) 2026 th
The 5th European Student Assembly took place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from 20 to 22 April. This event, which has been held annually since 2021, offers nearly 250 students the opportunity to explore issues of vital importance to the future of the European Union (EU), while also sparking lively debates and fostering intercultural exchange. th Over the course of these three days, the European Parliament brought together more than 250 students, selected from nearly 2,889 applications, representing 34 countries and 54 nationalities.
