Our University becomes a member of the European University Association (EUA)

We are pleased to announce that the University of Economics in Katowice has been accepted as a member of the European University Association (EUA) – one of the most important organisations representing higher education institutions and rectors’ conferences from 49 European countries.

The EUA plays a key role in shaping European policy in the areas of higher education, research, and innovation. Through cooperation with numerous European and international organisations, EUA ensures that the voice of European universities is heard where decisions are made that affect the future of the academic sector.

The European University Association was established in 2001, following the merger of the Association of European Universities (CRE) and the Confederation of EU Rectors' Conferences. Today, EUA brings together a network of over 800 universities and 33 rectors' conferences, representing more than 19 million students.

The organisation supports university leaders by building partnerships, creating spaces for knowledge exchange, and offering access to proven practices and research that contribute to the strategic development of academic institutions. EU members take part in numerous forums, projects, and initiatives related to higher education and research policy.

Thanks to its membership in EUA, our University gains new opportunities for development in areas such as: quality of education, innovation, university autonomy, open science, sustainable development, and doctoral education.
