IWD 2025
5th International Women’s Day Conference in Economics, Finance and Management
hybrid conference organized at the University of Economics in Katowice
March 13-14, 2024
About the conference:
The aim of the conference is to bring together academic researchers to celebrate the International Women’s Day by promoting pluralism in economics, finance and management. We invite submissions from all researchers, regardless of their gender, interested in orthodox and heterodox approaches in their fields. We plan to organize sessions in English and in Polish.
The main focus of the conference is:
I | Issues of climate change (green finance, sustainable Finance, sustainable development etc.) |
W | Women’s perspectives (feminist economics, female leadership etc.) |
D | Digital economy (fintech, financial innovation, policies, information, games industry etc.) |
but we also welcome high-quality presentations from other areas.

Conference fee:
Online participants: 20 euros / 100 PLN
Onsite participants: 90 euro / 450 PLN
The fee covers: conference welcome pack, access to all the sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, a ceremonial dinner, and a certificate of participation.

Best paper award:
Eligibility requirements:
- The paper has to be presented during the IWD 2025 conference.
- The paper must present original research results and cannot be accepted for publication at the time of submission.
- Authors must send their full papers before January 31, 2025 to iwd@uekat.plindicating in the topic "Submission for the Best Paper Award".
The jury will announce the decision during the IWD 2025 conference.
