Summary Meeting of the BAUHAUS4EU Team at #UEKatowice

On 8 December 2025, the BAUHAUS4EU team at the University of Economics in Katowice officially summarised a full year of work on the project, presenting progress across individual Work Packages (WP), as well as the achieved results and plans for the coming year. The ceremonial meeting, held in the newly renovated room 306A, gathered representatives of the University authorities, led by HM the Rector prof. dr hab. inż. Celina M. Olszak, along with individuals involved in project activities.

The meeting began with a discussion session dedicated to WP coordinators and members of the consortium councils (Academic Council and Administrative Council), followed by the official part attended by HM the Rector and all representatives of the Alliance Board.

In her address, HM the Rector expressed her gratitude to all individuals involved in implementing the project activities and emphasised:

The BAUHAUS4EU project is no longer simply a project — it is something more: a change in the way we think about how the university functions, about university partnerships, and about its internationalisation. It is an absolutely strategic and exceptional project for our University. We are obliged to carry out many very difficult and responsible tasks. Additionally difficult, because we work within a group of 10 universities, which represent very different profiles and specialisations, have varying levels of autonomy, different funding models, and also different identities. Working in such an environment is, of course, a great challenge, but also a great honour to participate in such an initiative at the European level.

During the meeting, a set of key quantitative data for the period January-November 2025 was presented, covering four areas.

The meeting also summarised achievements such as the development of course catalogues for academic, administrative staff and students.Visual Identity was implemented both at the Alliance level and at UE Katowice. Communication activities were launched, including the website, social media, and newsletter. A photography competition for students was held, offering participants an opportunity to explore the values promoted by the Alliance. Importantly, cooperation with regional partnersand higher education institutions participating in other alliances was strengthened through IROS Forum meetings. Competences in intercultural communication were also enhanced.

The team additionally presented plans stemming from the NAWA-funded project “UEKat in BAUHAUS4EU - strengthening the University’s potential for the European University for sustainable, resilient and inclusive regions.” Key activities include: supporting student mobility, staff development, organising a Doctoral Hackathon, strengthening the international position of UEKat and the Alliance, and building integrated project teams.

The meeting was preceded by the official launch of the Teleporter - a modern, modular system supporting hybrid teaching.

The event offered a valuable opportunity for informal discussions on future project activities and for spending time together in a pleasant, festive atmosphere.

More information about the project is availableon the website.
