The book consists of eighteen chapters grouped in five parts. Each part covers core issues within one selected area of a decision-making process. Part I presents a framework of corporate finance decisions and includes five chapters providing an overview of the fundamental concepts of corpo-rate finance. A reader will find here a scope of core decisive areas within managing cor-porate finance, definition of corporation and its comparison to other forms of business organisation, as well as the contemporary views on the objec-tive of corporate finance. This part ends with two chapters that aim at providing core aspects of two basic tools in managing corporate finance – the understanding of information included in the financial statements and the time value of money account.
